My alarm didn't ring

This is the one that matters, so check these in order:

  1. Permission. The first time you save an alarm, iOS asks whether Nannara may schedule alarms. If that was declined, the alarm cannot ring. Go to Settings → Nannara and turn the alarm permission back on, then open the app and save the alarm again.
  2. The alarm is actually on. An alarm that is saved but switched off on the home screen will not ring.
  3. The app was force-quit. Swiping Nannara out of the app switcher does not stop a scheduled alarm — but if the alarm was never saved successfully in the first place, there is nothing scheduled. Open the app and confirm the next alarm time is shown.
  4. Focus and silent mode. Nannara's alarms are meant to ring through both. If one did not, please email us with the time it was set for and what your phone was doing.

Turning the alarm off

Tapping the screen is not enough — that is the point. Finish the task shown: pop every balloon, or stand up and take the steps it asks for. The walking task needs motion permission; if you declined it, switch to the balloon task in the alarm's settings or enable motion access in Settings → Nannara.

A few minutes after you dismiss the alarm, Nannara checks that you are still up. If you ignore that check, the alarm comes back.

No sound?

Nannara plays through the ringer switch like most audio apps. Check that the side switch isn't set to silent and that the volume is up. If a single sound in your mix is inaudible, open the mixer and check that its channel volume isn't at zero.

The sound stops in the night

That is the sleep timer doing its job — the mix fades out at the end of the time you set. To keep it playing longer, change the timer on the home screen.

Subscriptions and restoring purchases

Nannara Premium is an auto-renewing subscription. To restore it after reinstalling the app or moving to a new iPhone, open the paywall and tap Restore purchase. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple Account you subscribed with.

To cancel, go to Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your iPhone. Cancelling stops the next renewal; the subscription stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for. Your alarms keep working whether or not you subscribe.

Does it need an internet connection?

No. The sounds, the mixing and the alarms all run on the device. A connection is only used when you subscribe or restore a subscription.

Deleting your data

The app stores nothing about you on any server. Deleting the app removes the preferences and alarms it keeps on your device.
